Common questions

Is the Canada-Ontario Job Grant still running?

Yes, under a new name. Ontario now calls it the Ontario Job Grant (OJG), and its official page says it accepts applications year-round.

How much does a small employer pay?

Employers with fewer than 100 employees pay at least one-sixth of each trainee's training costs. If the trainee is a previously unemployed new hire, the grant can cover 100%, up to $15,000.

Can I train myself or deliver the training in-house?

No. Business owners and related persons are not eligible trainees, and training must be delivered by an eligible third-party provider with a physical presence in Ontario.

Where else could this money come from?

Chosen by what these programs have in common with this one, not by hand. The reason is shown for each, so you can judge whether it holds.
