  1. Corrected: FedNor's service area includes Muskoka

An earlier revision of the regions data showed Muskoka outside FedNor's Northern Ontario. That was backwards: FedNor's designated service area has included Muskoka for many years (12 census divisions), while NOHFC restored Muskoka in January 2025, reversing a 2004 provincial removal. The boundary table and FedNor records now carry the corrected direction. source

  2. Index launched (build phase)

northernontariogrants.com relaunched as a verified funding index. Facts imported from research carry a 'reported' badge until human verification upgrades them; the changes log starts here.

  3. Tourism Growth Program agreements terminate

FedNor's Tourism Growth Program (intake closed September 2024) reached the end of its funding agreements on March 31, 2026. The program page is kept as a historical record with successor routes. source

  4. NOHFC Community Enhancement: fire halls no longer eligible

NOHFC amended Community Enhancement eligibility effective February 3, 2026, fire halls are excluded. source

  5. CanExport SMEs: U.S.-market allocation exhausted mid-window

The $3.1M U.S.-market allocation for 2026-27 was fully committed and paused before the August 31 close. Other markets remained open, a live example of why 'open' needs a budget check. source
