Northern Ontario Grants is an independent, free reference covering grant and funding programs that serve Northern Ontario. It exists because program information for the region is spread across dozens of separate federal, provincial, municipal and Indigenous funder websites, and no single current index of it existed.
What it covers
Business, nonprofit, municipal, Indigenous, agricultural, tourism, arts and household funding programs serving the districts of Northern Ontario, along with the local delivery network: Community Futures corporations, enterprise centres and economic development offices.
Who runs it
The site is maintained as an independent Northern Ontario project. Content is attributed to the organization rather than to individuals. The methodology describes how facts are sourced and checked, and the full dataset can be downloaded and inspected.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no account, no newsletter and no paid tier.
