Inclusive Community Grants Program

by Grants Ontario / Transfer Payment Ontario

Also known as: ICG · Inclusive Community Grants

The Inclusive Community Grants Program (2020-2025) gave up to $60,000 to local governments, nonprofits, and Indigenous communities for accessibility and age-friendly projects - trails, park upgrades, outdoor fitness equipment, Age-Friendly Action Plans. It no longer accepts applications: its ontario.ca page was archived in 2026, and the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility's EASE Grant (also up to $60,000, for accessible-spaces capital projects) is the reported replacement. Apply to EASE in its next annual round instead.

Common questions

Can I still apply for an Inclusive Community Grant?

No. The program's ontario.ca page was retired to the Archives of Ontario in 2026 and there is no active intake. The EASE Grant (Enhancing Access to Spaces for Everyone) is the reported successor for accessibility-focused capital projects, at the same up-to-$60,000 level.

What did it fund while it ran?

Up to $60,000 per project for age-friendly sports and recreation programs, accessible trails and pathways, accessibility upgrades in municipal parks and outdoor spaces, outdoor fitness equipment, and community Age-Friendly Action Plans. Ontario invested over $5 million across 100+ projects after the 2020 launch.

Who ran it?

The Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility, with annual application rounds delivered through Transfer Payment Ontario (20 projects were funded in the 2024-25 round).
