Common questions
What studies qualify?
Feasibility studies, building renovation design, cultural heritage evaluations, heritage impact assessments, hiring heritage architects, and business plans tied to adaptive re-use or redevelopment within the project area.
Why is only half paid up front?
By design: 50% is paid on delivering the completed study with proof consultants were paid in full; the remaining 50% is withheld until the building is available for occupancy, tying the grant to actual redevelopment.
Does the city keep my study?
Yes, one copy goes to the City, and applicants must permit the City to share findings with subsequent project proponents or related government agencies.
